Well you asked and I listened.  Here is the 2nd Cycle workout to make it to PortaPT’s library of podcasts.  This 45 minute Cycle workout will have you going on peaks and valleys.  The intervals will take you from a 6 out of 10 to no higher then touching a 7 1/2 (hard).  This is all about keeping control of your breathing and staying with oxygen while you are still working moderate, to somewhat hard, to touching hard.  Heart Rate range will be 65 to 78 maybe 80%.  Every athlete WANTS oxygen.  In order to make the most of your lungs and hearts, you need to train WITH OXYGEN to build those engines.

This workout is intended to be done on a SPIN bike…perhaps, even though never tested on a regular stationary bike found at most gyms, it may be doable on those too.  If you try it out let me know, haha.  It most likely could be done on your bike on a trainer also, but once again, its designed with it being done on a SPIN Bike.

Heart Rate monitors are highly recommended but not mandatory! Enjoy!
