My name is Julie-Anne Cox. I was born in Canada, but currently live in Chandler, AZ with my hubby, Joel, of 20+ years (yup I’m an OLDIE but a GOODIE :-)) and I have been in the fitness industry for the last 15 years. I am an ACE Certified Personal Trainer and GOLD Level Turbokick Instructor. Training and coaching others is my passion. I currently have a studio in my home where I train a bunch of awesome people, each with a different focus – weight loss, overall fitness, training for a future event such as Ironman, Triathlons, Marathons or Fitness Shows.
I personally completed my first Ironman Triathlon in 2010 – Ironman Arizona. It was one of those favorite days of my life. I had the best time ever, despite the 45+ mph crosswinds, hail, freezing temperatures, and rain. Not only did I train properly for it, but I had the best support team a girl could ask for and when you challenge your mind and body to those extremes, sometimes it’s not about how fit you are, but who you have in your corner to cheer you on and carry you to the finish line despite the pain and fatigue.
I am launching this website because of all of those awesome people. They are my ROCK! They believe in me, they inspire me, and they have asked me to share my “spark and passion” with those outside the comfort of my own home.
I am a bit of a dork sometimes, so if you are wondering about my website domain name choice, YES, I realize it made you think of “porta-potty” (and now I’m pretty sure you will never forget my domain name – right?). The fact that I trained for months to be able to “pee” on my bike during my Ironman race, was very proud of myself, and shouted it from the rooftops when I finally succeeded, probably says all you need to know about me. And hey, no judgements, the professionals do it all the time 🙂 .
Well there you have it….ME in a nutshell. If you actually took the time to read this short bio…(because lets face it, who really does??), I look forward to helping you reach your goals and educating you along the way. Technology is awesome these days…you can carry me wherever you go…kinda like your Pocket Personal Trainer 🙂 .
