Train the same way, day in day out, week after week, year after year and expect the same results.  But NOT TODAY!  Today the heart gets stronger, cardiovascular system becomes more efficient, muscles build their power, speed and endurance.  You have to go fast to get fast.  This workout will be pushing you out of your comfort zone and increasing your running pace.  This 40+ minute workout will have you jogging and running the whole workout except for one full recovery in the middle.  This workout can be done on a treadmill OR outside.  If running outside,  you will just need to push yourself to pick up your speed and maintain it even though it is hard.  Who’s ready to PR??  Train SMART!  And remember…you are always in control of your speed, so stay safe.

    WOW!!! What a challenging workout! This is one of the toughest ones I’ve done. I just know I get a little faster each time I do it….as long I survive it….lol! Great once a week workout to challenge you out of your comfort zone. Make sure you have plenty of water & towels to wipe your sweat with this one!

    Awesome workout! In my opinion, this is the most challenging PortaPT workout. If you want to get faster, this is the workout for you.

    Don’t believe that you can get faster? This workout will change that idea. It’s very challenging, but you will see the results if you add it to your running regimen regularly. Julie-Anne encourages you that “you can do anything for 4 minutes!”.

    I always step off the treadmill after this workout feeling like Wonder Woman. It is very challenging and empowering. I love how Julie-Anne helps us gauge how we should be feeling in order to get the most out of this workout. This workout is definitely beneficial for anyone who is trying to gain speed in walking/jogging/running. I agree with the other reviewers that this PortaPT workout is the most challenging one.

    Speed work to the max! This podcast has become my favorite over the years. It pushes me to be faster than I ever thought possible. It has for sure helped me with my endurance and confidence. I agree with all the other reviewers prepare to sweat and get off feeling like wonder women!
